Help Make Northstar a Reality

Northstar Commuter Rail supporters have been critical to seeing the Northstar project advance to this point. Northstar has cleared a number of important hurdles because of the hard work of the citizens, businesses and organizations who have taken the time to make their voices heard. You can make a difference by getting involved!

	Encourage friends and family to become a supporter.
	Write letters to the editor of your local papers explaining why your area should support Northstar, encouraging others to get involved.

Federal and State Funding Status

Northstar Commuter Rail has secured final federal approvals with a Full Funding Grant Agreement worth $156.8 million. The signing of the agreement also released an additional $97.5 million in state bonding money for Northstar. This bolsters already significant contributions from the state of Minnesota, the regional rail authorities of Anoka, Hennepin and Sherburne counties, the Metropolitan Council and the Minnesota Twins. Northstar has now achieved ALL financing approvals to complete the project
